The second pole of the season brought no confidence to Nannini - he really wanted a win this year. Yet again, he lost a win due to bad luck; when the rain set in, he was one of the last to change to slicks but he had a big lead on the field - put his pit stop went wrong when the valve of a compressed air bottle wasn’t open. He rejoined in ninth and finished fifth - another bitter disappointment. The sixth place of Larini however was enough for the title. |
