The 1992 edition would be the last time the DTM cars would meet some Nissans and of course many local drivers. But on the tight track the DTM cats were quite a handful: three of the four works Mercedes ended in the barriers, only guest driver Ni Amorim finished, in fourth. Since the Nissans were packed with lead again, it was the last chance of success for the BMW M3 and it was Pirro, after a dismal season in DTM who crossed the line first, ahead of Winkelhock and Ravaglia. During the race, Ludwig and Pirro had a coming together, Schneider had a bad start and during his race to the front he crashed while Lohr ended her race with a her third crash of the weekend. |
