Forceful driving at Zandvoort, especially the 2000 cc class: but first, the Nissan team turned up after a 25 kg weight penalty was imposed on the BMWs. Like in Belgium, it was difficult to explain to the public.
The track was too narrow for the group of 4 fighting for the lead: Euser took the lead, ahead of Coronel Jr, Kalff and Reinders. Euser got a punch from Kalff and dropped to fourth, which was reduced to ninth after the race since a 30 second penalty was given for rough driving.
Reinders had taken the lead by now and finished first, with Coronel Jr second and taking the title.
The over-2000 class was won by the Carly trio van Vliet, Salmenatio and van Krimpen, while Langeberg retired with broken suspension after spinning on the kerbs.
