Ellen Lohr had surprised quite a few with here second at the Avus circuit, but the icing on the cake came with her victory on the tight short Hockenheim circuit. A little luck was all she needed: when von Bayern’s engine expired, it lost it oil - the Mercedes train, were taken by surprise: Ludwig slid off, and with him most of the pack; after a pace car situation the lead was held by Rosberg on soft tires with Lohr second. When the tires went off for the moustached driver, it was easy for Lohr to take her maiden DTM win, with Schneider second and Rosberg third. |
