The final of the championship wasn’t a final at all; the championships were decided, but there were some happy faces anyway after the race. The Rijnhaave team finally won a 2000 race, with Coronel first and Reinders third; second was van Reenen, a happy end after a dismal season. The green Rijnhaave cars were 1-2 in practice, and in fourth another surprise: the Mitsubishi Galant of Happé. The latter was hampered by gearbox problems, and a possible 1-2 for Rijnhaave went down the drain when Reinders hit oil in Hugenholtz corner, so van Reenen went by. The 1300 class was won by Suzuki once again, with Ciapponi doing the winning. |
