The over-2000 cc race was full of incidents. First, van Krimpen took the lead from 6th on the grid, surprising van der Beek and they both spun. As a side effect, Langeberg and Coronel touched, the latter being sent off into the armco with a lot of damage as a result. Olij found himself in the lead, but soon Hart (Mercedes) took over. Van Dedem rammed Langeberg from behind, so Langeberg was now out and went into the pits where the Rijnhaave team had a few questions for him. Van Dedem could continue, but Hart retired after 15 laps. In the mean time, both van Krimpen and van der Beek sliced through the field, with van Krimpen taking the lead after a fight with Krab, who had to give way to van der Beek as well. The under-2000 race was entertaining too, Bolderheij brought victory home though behind him there was a fierce battle for second, won by Top who won the fight with Vörös. |
