The ultra-fast Chimay track was full of surprises. Verellen got pole but little else; Haugg on the other hand had problems in practice, but in heat 1 the car ran like clockwork, setting fastest lap and finishing second behind Tassin. In heat two the Opel retired with engine problems, while Tassin had to start from the pit lane after a puncture - he still managed fourth. Slaus was satisfied with third in heat 1, but disappointed with third in heat 2 since he had fuel pick up problems. To add insult to injury, his old M3 with Neugarten won heat 2, ahead of Martin (fourth in heat 1). |
