Only 17 cars started the race; the lead was taken by Hoy, followed by Sugden. The car of Cleland was all over the place; he finished only 12th. The battle for the lead was exciting between Hoy and Sugden, while Rouse followed at a short distance. Gravett stalled at the start, but soon got on the pace, finally finishing 9th. Another interesting group was Palmer, Sytner, Allam and Bellm, with Harvey close behind; after a big fight they finished in quite a different order - with Harvey on top, finishing fourth. |
