After the relative quiet Luxembourg weekend, it was time again for some excitement, of course not all on the track but anywhere else. The Hezemans team got a visit from official Arie Ruitenbeek, together with the importer teams of BMW and Mercedes as well as Mazda driver van der Beek - it was impossible that a young driver had been nearly half a second faster than the importer cars. They brought a standard 944 S2, asking if they could compare it to the racecar of Mike. Toine shook his head and let them go ahead - they found little.
In the race, young Hezemans would be blackflagged after passing the pacecar which was nearly stationary at Gerlach - a protest against this was accepted, but the race result was not changed; weird!
The pace car had been activated since the BMW duo of Langeberg and Visser promoted Amsing into the armco. Klaas Visser would hit teammate Euser later in the race, the eventful race effectively ending his career. Hans van der Beek, a man normally with high driving standards, won the race but was disqualified for rude driving; van Krimpen had tried a 4x4 Sierra in practice but started in his normal car running out of fuel while in the process of taking the lead.
An eventful afternoon, where few noticed the double victory of the Mercedes team with Huisman third.
After some time, the decision to disqualify van der Beek was reversed.

The under-2 liter class was less eventful, winner Vörös happy about this race, but losing victory of the Paasraces, though he wasn’t informed earlier. Caron finished second, while the two Kadetts of Top and Bolderheij retired late in the race because of a blown front tire. Bolderheij informed that this would be his last race here, the Kadett being far too heavy to be competitive. Ciapponi and Oeberius won the 1300 cc class.
