The last race on the original track, nearly unchanged for 40 years apart from the Panorama corner. Sigh.

Produktie
The Sierras were disqualified after practice, since they found a way around the air restrictor, probably inspired by things happening at the DTM. Another stumbling stone was the 50 kgs which could be taken out of the M3s - but not the Mercedes!
Three candidates for victory, and it was Visser who took his first overall victory followed by van Dedem, while Krab had to give up with a broken gearbox. Division 3 started with the usual fight, but when Kerseboom crashed out and Bolderheij’s turbo failed it turned out to be an easy victory for van Splunteren.

A few weeks after the race, the appeal of the Ford teams was accepted; they should have been allowed to take part in the race, there was no opportunity to appeal now. The results were declared invalid, and a new round had to be organised.

Group A
A happy day for Peter Fontijn, who returned with an Opel Monza (bought from Freek Staal) after a fund-raising action by his colleagues. He finished fifth overall, behind winner Moritz, Dam and two Produktie Sierras of Hemmes and van Krimpen, who started from the back of the grid.
