In the morning of the Spa 24 hour race, the production cars hit the track. In division 1 it was Semoulin who missed the start, so Van Dalen (Audi) took the lead, but moments later Verellen took over, leading Van Dalen, Slaus, Martin, Wolff and the Semoulin family. A few laps later both Martin (2nd) and Alain Semoulin (3rd) had climbed up the ranks, and then Martin took the lead while Semoulin tried to get by Verellen too; after a missed gear Semoulin came back and now jumped to second by surprise.
Division 2 was led by Tillekaerts, but it was not as easy as usual: De Deyne came past, Tillekaerts passed again, and the lead changed another few times. What a race! De Deyne seemed certain of victory when he opened a gap; but then his engine ran into fuel feed problems and he was lucky to salvage second.
