Works Evo Alfa Romeo 75 Turbos in front of all other cars in Group A - that was a predictable result, but in race 3 of the season, a mini-endurance race it happened for the first time this season!
The star of the race was Nicola Larini, who won the marathon in style in Tuscany; he beat the team of Patrese and Nannini. The 25-year old trimmed two seconds in qualifying off his more famous team-mates. He won the first heat from Patrese, Brancatelli, Livio and Drovandi in a resolute way. The Tuscan had gone in front right from the start. Larini and Patrese stretched their lead immediately, preceding Brancatelli and Livio in their turn, with Drovandi and Mancini a little further back. Then came Francia (a little in the shade this time because his car was not well-balanced), Corradi, Ricci and Serattini. After 17 minutes came the attack of Patrese, but at San Donato curve he got it wrong, went over the kerbs and damaged his spoiler. He had to settle for second.
Nannini had no apparent difficulty to win the second half of the race, because Larini took it easy, having a lead of 14 seconds from heat 1.
The race in Group A included all classes. Therefore, attention to the other classes was limited, but the winners were De Vito/Ognio (Corolla) in A5, Viglione (Alfa 75 TS) in A3, Bigliazzi/Cesarini (Alfa 33 4x4) in A6 and Stefani in A4 with the Alfetta GTV.

The Group N Class was divided into 2 races, one for classes N2, N4, N5 and N6 and one for N1 and N3.
The first race was tire troubles all over the place, but Giancarlo Naddeo won easily after his adversaries ran into tire troubles with the little Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6, beating Caruso with a Uno Turbo.
In the group reserved for classes 1 and 3 of Group N victory was for Corrado and Pedol (Sierra Cosworth) ahead of "Baronio" (M3), the only intruder in a sea of Sierras.
