Two races, with exactly the same podiums: the Fords were handicapped by their narrow restrictors, the fastest one only eight on the grid. In race 1, the lead was disputed by Grohs, on soft Pirellis, Oestreich, Heger and Quester, while Danner was in tenth position. After a tangle with Oberndorfer, Quester fell back. Then Oestreich collided with Heger, both have to pit. Cudini now attacked Grohs, whose tires were deteriorating.
