Pictures

BMW had won 6 out of 6 races in ETCC and WTCC so far, but the Sierras now got things right and with the new 17” wheels they dominated the Zolder race. Soper and Niedzwiedz won, while the Ludwig/Boutsen car ran into fuel pressure problems shortly before he end. The polesitter, Cecotto/Brancatelli, even had to retire with the very same defect. Third on the grid, but another retirement with failing oil pressure: Grohs and Van de Poele.
The debut of the Toyota Supra was miserable: both cars did not qualify and were slower than a 1600 cc Corolla...
