The series came to Silverstone on Sunday for the fifth round and what a show it put on for the crowds. A terrific battle ensued between Andy Rouse and Tim Harvey, with the ICS Sierra driver eventually taking the lead but later forced to retire with a blown turbo. Harvey and his Istel Rover powered back to take a popular win, followed home by a charging Dennis Leech and Graham Goode, leaving David Carvell, Mike Newman and Pete Hall to fill the top six places.
