Group N
The track became wetter and wetter during the race, which was won by a superior Ruitenbeek while Vos, a close second on the grid, retired after a spin and promised “to leave his car alone for a while” - he was terrified with its behaviour in the rain. Hemmes was equally unhappy, a cracked engine block during testing couldn’t be replaced so it had to be welded; but after that it blew its head gasket repeatedly. In the race, Hemmes retired after three laps.
Behind the Sierras of Ruitenbeek and Hin, it was van Kouwen who was unhappy with the forceful driving of Krab in the Montego, but with a dented car he won anyway, while Krab retired after having enjoyed himself. In division 2, Eglem won over Vörös whose engine played up, while the Renault class was won by Bodt.

Group A
The long-distance Group A race, which included a few Group N cars just for fun, and the Renault Alpine of Bleekemolen, also just for fun, was a wet affair. Van Dedem had pole, but his teammate Vermeulen took the start. He used some time to get used to the car, but the old touring car ace soon put pressure on the leading Bleekemolen; the latter let Vermeulen by to get an idea how fast the M3 was in the rain, but to his bewilderment he could no longer keep up with the BMW. The pit stops decided the race; the racing baronet van Dedem took over after a miserable stop, and proved to be two seconds a lap down on Vermeulen’s pace. Bleekemolen won and was happy after the race, but said “if Vermeulen had driven the whole race I might not have won...”.
Van der Beek was back with his Mazda and finished a steady third, ahead of ex-Rallycrosser Piet Dam who raced van Dedem’s 1986 Group A BMW 325 for the first time - and did well. Another newcomer was van Vlimmeren, who bought an Alfetta GTV from Belgium but had to do a lot of work to get the car competitive.
Welther won the 1600 cc class with his Peugeot.
