Group N
No race without incidents, and this was no exception. In division 1, the amazed audience saw Ruitenbeek and Hin holding up the whole field - it seemed more a 1-make series than a touring car race. The only reason for this was that Koks should win, and get as many cars behind him and in front of Hemmes, who was accused of betrayal. She finished a nerved fifth, in tears. But if we reverse to 1979, it was Hemmes who wanted to do exactly the same to get the championship to the deceased Slotemaker... A crazy race, won by Koks, ahead of Ruitenbeek, Hin and van Kouwen. Division 1 was less exciting, with Eglem having another broken gearbox, Hogendoorn saw another engine go and Stam’s one did not want to shine for all of 12 laps.

Group A
A welcome addition was Henk Haane in a hired Luigi Alfa 75 Turbo, third on the grid with a respectable 1.47,5 but he retired with a broken propshaft. At the front, Bolderheij got away lousy so Hin took the lead, but after a lap van Dedem went on the outside at Tarzan corner and stayed there until Gerlach - then he was ahead. Bolderheij got up to speed finally, clocked the fastest lap again but could do no better than second. The other classes were won by van den Raadt with champion Welther second, and de Jong in his Talbot.
