Mother’s day at Zandvoort; in the Production class it was business as usual; second man on the grid Hin took the lead for a while but Ruitenbeek soon took over and won, ahead of Coronel (in Vos’ Sierra, hampered by a broken gear lever), Hemmes and Hin. Van Kouwen could not start, his new Motorsport engine failed after only two laps in practice. Division 2, Vörös had been fastest in practice and after he had dealt with Krab’s usual firework he seemed to get his first win, but in the penultimate lap Eglem passed at Tarzan corner. Vörös slipstream answer was just a little too late. In the 2000 cc class there were troubles with Bodt’s car, he fell back from first to fifth while Postma won. Group A |
