Group N
The pace car had to pick up the field after a massive crash; Hemmes had spun and was hit by Stam. Both cars were badly damaged. After the restart, Hin took the lead but was soon passed by Ruitenbeek who claimed yet another victory. Van Kouwen finished third, ahead of the surprisingly fast Renault 5 of Vanierschot; Belgian preparation seemed worth 4 seconds a lap! The Division 2 victory was for Vörös, after a hard fight with Eglem; but Eglem’s gearbox got stuck in second the last few laps, though he still finished third.
After the race, Hemmes protested against the cars of Hin and Ruitenbeek, unusual for a driver of the same brand. The protest was very detailed and both cars were disqualified for relatively minor issues. Hin and Ruitenbeek were furious, since the Sierra drivers were normally pretty close and exchanged tips on preparation.
Things would get worse.

Group A
More competition for van Dedem; Bolderheij’s Sierra came good with a fastest lap of 1.44,796, but unfortunately he spun at Panorama in lap 3 which cost him the race. Van Dedem and Hin escaped, and had a fierce battle which was decided when Hin spun, but he salvaged second.
