It came as a shock that Sandown no longer was the territory of the big V8 cars: No Holden or Ford on the rostrum, but two BMWs, with Richards and Longhurst on top shared the podium with the Toyota Supra of Williamson/Mezera. The writing had been on the wall all season, but Sandown was something else - many thought. Even the new 4.9 Holden for Brock, although on pole, could change little in the outcome. |
