Van Dedem complained that he could not get hold of Pirelli tires like they used in Germany, but still he won his class and finished second overall behind Vermeulen. Hemmes had problems before the start; the fan belt had to be replaced and she started from behind, spinning in Tarzan because of all the excitement. But it didn’t matter since the race was restarted anyway; a lot of damage made that a wise decision.
After the second start, Hemmes spun, now at Hugenholtz, but she recovered to an eventual third in class.
