Finally Francevic ended the 1985 Jim Richards show, and Johnson kept the black BMW in his mirrors for the whole race as well, helped by the cool conditions. Richards’ progress had been hampered by a coming together with Johnson, resulting in a little smoke from his right rear, and that became worse after a brush against the wall, Richards first and only error of the season. More smoke, and he was lucky to finish third. |
