As a Belgian magazine stated: “De Deyne sent his cat”, not sure of the animal had a licence but both De Deyne and his car were absent, his sponsor contract only stating six races, and the championship was already in the bag. But the Martin brothers and Nève gave a good show, Philippe winning both heats with Jean-Michel fighting with Nève. Maillien did not send a pet, but he was on holiday (!), so behind the BMWs it was De Jamblinne who took 2500 cc victory. |
