It was the first victory this year for the Schnitzer car of Stuck and Ravaglia, after the Jaguars hit problems; Walkinshaw/Heyer retired with broken front suspension, Percy and Brundle crashed after a blown tire, while the third car had tire troubles and fell back. So the main opposition for BMW were the Volvos, but after Stuck had taken over the car (his own mount had a damaged sump after an excursion of Quester) the victory was theirs. |
