The only thing Johnson had to do here was finish third to clinch the championship; he qualified second behind Richards who led after the start. But Fury was the real challenger here, first passing Johnson on the drying track and then Richards, after which he disappeared into the distance. But second was well enough for Johnson to grab the title.
