Eddy Joosen and his TWR Rover paid a visit to Holland, and as could be expected from such a driver and car he got pole with over 2 seconds, with Fresco second and van der Beek third. After the start, Hagen spun at Tarzan and was hit by the unlucky Koks in his Escort RSi and van Vuure’s old Magnum. All three were out with considerable damage. When the dust had settled, it was Joosen in the lead but the Mazda was strong second. But with 7 laps to go, Joosen came in with a pucture and lost a lot of time (he finished 7th in the end), Kroesemeijer’s Scirocco blew its engine and van der Beek fell back, leaving victory for Hemmes, heading van der Beek and Vermeulen. Further class wins were for Derr (still going strong) and Ernst, Kroesemeijer’s teammate. |
