After the Donington win, Jaguar continued its winning streak at Enna-Pergusa in the blazing heat. After the start, Vojtech took the lead for a little while, but in lap 4 Walkinshaw took over and was never challenged to the flag. The second car however retired soon with a broken engine, while Vojtech was out with a broken differential. Schnitzer had its share of troubles too, the Eterna car coming in with sticking brakes in lap 1, but the second car’s fate was even worse: the “BMW parts” car broke a strut and had tire troubles, resulting in 20th at the finish. The Eterna car managed fourth in the end, behind the BMW Italia car of Kelleners and Grano and the other Eggenberger car of Vanoli/Hollinger. |
