The old Group 2 and 4 cars were still able to fight for the Rundstrecken Trophy, and since the DRM was now mainly a sportscar event the entry was quite good.

Division 1
The BMW M1 race had 12 entries amongst it one Capri. Stuck was fast in practice but König took pole. He got away first, but soon Stuck went past and then König faded because of a failing clutch. Stuck, Müller Jr and Quester entertained the crowd but when Müller’s tires wenty off and Quester ran into clutch troubles Stuck took the flag.

Division 2
Boller was on pole, with Wolf (Audi) and the Denim pair of Braun and van Ommen behind him, while Selzer was a troubled 12th. Boller dominated the race, Braun hampered with his gearbox and had to let Dransmann go, but the latter got into troubles himself so the order became Boller-van Ommen-Braun-Dransmann, while Selzer spun after a magnificent start - he set off again, only to retire with a broken throttle cable.
