On Saturday, the first two races took place - and two title candidates had some regrets afterwards. In race 2, Land retired after three laps with a blocked fuel filter while Hohenester snapped his throttle cable; he must have regretted missing race 5, calculating one dropped score but now he had two. Blomberg retired too after leading so the 1150 win went to Buddenbrock while the 1600 class was won by Eckle - he won the DRP classification, but some Dutch drivers took part in the race too. Race 1 was business as usual with wins for Pötschke (1300), Fischer (1150) and Ressel (1000).
Sunday started with the Group 1B race for 1000 and 1300 cc cars; Frensch won wile Sauren (third) protested against Mathies (second) but the car was found in order. The Autobianchis had a a fight between Baltus and Wieddekind, until the first dropped back with fuel feed problems.
Race 4 should have been the main dish, Hahne winning once again with the Mazda but unfortunately Niedzwiedz (Group 1B Capri) could not start. His class was won by Döring now, while the 2000 cc class was won by van Ommen - who else?
The last race of the day was led by Rummel from the start, but when he dropped back with a misfiring engine Deutgen took over, while Gröpper won the 1600 class.
