It should have been the traditional 6 hour race for the ETCC, which it had been since 1963 and the race itself was even older. But now, all what remained was a race for the DRM with a bad entry - in fact the worst of this year, especially in division 1 which had only 4 Group 5 cars of which two were top-level cars, since the Schnitzer BMW did not appear.
