The races were exciting, but the controversy of the day was the huge number of participants in Group 1. The race was split in two, for over- and under 1300 cc cars. So far, nothing special but problems arose when some over-1300 cc entries which hadn’t qualified were allowed to race in the sub-1300 race, not only stealing limelight for the 1300 cars but also creating a problem since the under-1300 race was held in dry conditions while the next race was wet. The overall result for the bigger classes were therefore falsified, costing the top runners points for the division as well as overall points. Camps (Seat 124) was declared winner, but protests flying in, of course.
Back to the race: Fermin Sanchez beat Escuder on the start, but Camps went by and won, while Escuder spun and lost second in class to Sanz de Madrid.

The over-1300 (...) race started dry with everyone bar Bernal on slicks. Marcos took the lead, followed closely by March and Sasiambarrena. The positions seemed to be fixed but then the rain set in, allowing Bernal to take the lead, finishing ahead the group mentioned earlier.

A big fight took place between the Seat 131 of Canellas and the Escort of Peñacoba with the lead changing many times. Finally, the race seemed to go to the Escort’s way - until it got a puncture, allowing a narrow win for Canellas.
