A fine win for the German Escort team of Kummle, Mauer and Vogt; the second-placed Capri of Spice and the Martin brothers had to fight back from 48th at the beginning of the race (puncture).
In eight place finished the Audi of Seikel, Nowak and Bergmeister; and Seikel sealed the title.
