After the non-qualification at Le Mans, AMG thought a new SLC Mercedes could do the trick. But the car was not finished on time, and until early on Sunday morning the car was prepared at the Zakspeed premises. Afterwards, the car didn’t look any better that its predecessor, and after one lap it appeared in the pits, with a broken stabiliser rod, a down on power engine and a puncture. AMG would do a much better job in years to come! |
