Group 1
30 cars took the start with Lucas Sainz on pole with his British Chrysler; a car not eligible for points but good enough to win the race overall after a bad start, with Jodar second and scoring maximum points, followed by Marcos and Galiano - the latter having a great fight for third.
Sanjurjo had to settle for fifth place today, losing valuable points again after missing the last race. In the category up to 1300 cc a the win went to Fermin Sanchez (Citroen), ahead of the Simcas of Alvarez and Onis. Diez won the Seat 127 battle, but with the new “1010”, so the victory of the smallest class went to Ruisánchez.

Group 2
Another peculiar race with none of the title contestants scoring many points. The first retirement came at the very beginning: the works Chrysler of Oñoro wouldn’t fire on more than three cylinders. Juncosa (Seat) took command ahead of Bäbler (Seat) and Sanz de Madrid (Chrysler) and the two Seat men exchanged positions several times. At quarter distance, Juncosa led but Bäbler dodged out - and Sanz de Madrid did likewise! Sanz de Madrid and Juncosa collided and retired on the spot. Now Bäbler had a comfortable lead and the title seemed to go his way, since Onis, Martin Cantero and Albacete were far behind. Then Bäbler had to pit because of a puncture and gone was his title - at least for today.
Finally, Martin Cantero passed Onis and won the race; a small consolation for his troubles earlier in the season, especially in practice.
