Practice saw a sudden shower of snow halfway the session, and then a quickly drying track - so only those who had not yet packed their stuff could go out once again. The result was a pole for Spice, then Dron, Walkinshaw, Woodman and a surprising De Deyne and his Commodore - an obvious error by the timekeepers.
Spice took the lead after the start, followed by Woodman, Dron and Marshall. Craft passed Marshall after two laps, and Woodman took command over Spice and gradually pulled away - but behind him war raged between a group of seven (!) cars, changing positions every corner. The first one who fell back was Marshall, and lap 11 Dron ran into Craft - who was pushed to the grass and rejoined the track at the end of the group.
Now the head of the field ran into the backmarkers, so it broke in a few subgroups. Ahead, Woodman lost his 4 second lead over Dron in the penultimate lap, but just when Dron had catched the Capri, he entered the pit lane, thinking the race was already over. He actually passed the finish line in the pit lane, in 7th overall but just winning his class - afterwards, he said he must have misread his pit signal.
Spice finished second with Vandervell third, with class wins for Dron, Lloyd and Unett.
