Group 1
Experimental Firestone tires took their toll in this race; Antoranz had to change a wheel after 15 minutes, and 5 minutes later Nunez had to do the same. In the closing laps Ortiz managed to pass Cincunegui but he fought back and at the line they were inseparable. Since Ortiz had qualified on the second row, and Cincunegui on row one it was decided that Ortiz had won.

Group 2
As expected, Oñoro dominated but for second place there was a fierce battle, which was initially led by Escavias, but he was overtaken by Albacete, who in turn would be fought down by Martin Cantero. These three, along with Soler gave a fine show which ended when both Soler as well as Escavias got a puncture; at the same time Albacete went by Martin Cantero.
