Group 1
Although Ortiz took command after the start, but then Frechman Yves Lejeune used the power of his Ford Escort and took the lead - and the race.
It was expected that Escavias would be in front, but the polesitter’s engine soon gave up. Thus "Genito" Ortiz became second, despite the efforts of Nuñez and Llanos which repeatedly exchanged their positions-to catch up. Fourth place went to Eleuterio Serra, who won the GP Alcaniz, 1975, ahead of Rafael Cincunegui, this time not as good as usual.

Group 2
Sanz de Madrid took the lead while Pierre Casagne headed for the pits. It seemed an easy afternoon for Sanz de Madrid until his exhaust broke and both Albacete and Escavias came dangerously close. However, their cars began to struggle too so the victory was safe.
