Vallelunga had a surprise in store; not another BMW victory - no, Alfa Romeo took advantage of Luigi troubles. First, the De Fierlant/Dewael/Grano car suffered cooling problems; the other car, of Xhenceval/Dieudonné/Finotto, had to stop in the pits repeatedly for its engine was losing power. A double Alfetta victory therefore, the GTV of Ghislotti/Fornera/Franz took the last podium position in front of the first Luigi car.

National races
First on track were the tiny 500s with "El Bravo", Busi and Laganà. The three exchanged places since Amighini dropped back with clutch troubles. Busi dropped back too, so it was left to “El Bravo” to shove the leading car into the barriers, but it backfired and he finished third.
In the 700 race, padrone had a jump start, but despite this Nocci took the lead only to retire soon after. Padrone tried to make the best of it, but his engine gave up in lap 11, so the win went to Segalini.
Last on track were the 1000 and 1150 cars. Battistini tried to get away, but after four laps Pacetta passed him and won. Piacentini was in command of the 1000 cc class but he broke down, Gatti won the class.
