This race combined the worst of two worlds: the World Prototype championship and the European GT championship. There were four competitive prototypes at the Nürburgring - and a total of seven GT’s were entered, of which six turned up.
Fastest of them had been Hezemans, who dominated the wet race and won in front of Kelleners and Schenken.
