Fastest lap, leading by a substantial margin - but the win escaped Vanierschot, since his engine expired on lap 10. Another Alpine (Tarres) retired too, so Xhenceval could celebrate another win in 1975. Behind the Luigi BMW Luigi, German Utz (Porsche) led "Davit" in Group 3 to the line, the latter having to fight with the 1300 Alfa of Meyer. So no Belgian victory in either Group 2 or 3, but there were some happy people anyway: De Sitter (after a bad start) and “Gustavson” finished 10th and 11th after a fight involving eight cars. |
