Only those competitors who saw championship chances for themselves went all the way to Austria; so apart from them, the field consisted of drivers from southern Germany or Austria.

Race 1
The 1000 cc class was won by Müller (NSU), the 1150 class victor was Tubbesing, after the retirement of Seybold and Weiss (both Fiat), while fastest man Steinert retired as well. Koch, championship contender still, had yet another tyre problem and retired.

Race 2
Spiess (NSU) stormed away in the lead, followed by Fischer (16-valve Alfa); a following group consisted of Bergmeister, Wolf and Schmidt. Bergmeister touched with a backmarker and rolled his car; and the next retirement came from championship contender Wolf (engine). To finish off the miserable Spiess weekend, Spiess himself retired with engine troubles too.

Race 3
The 1600 class is VW domain nowadays; Dahlhäuser won without problems, leading the BMW’s of Füller and Engenolf. Henzler, who could follow the VW in the beginning retired.
The two-litre class had a strong entry, apart from Hennige (Escort) a Schnitzer 2002 for Mannhalter and another 2002 for Schneeberger. The ex-Kelleners car of Herlitze now had a full F2 engine. A brand-new care was the Alfetta GTV of Isert, but he was no match for Manhalter and Hennige, who stormed away from the rest of the field - the Zakspeed Escort winning.

Race 4
No-one could match the speed of Tobiasson, who won here, though Odenthal collected another 20 points since the Swede could not take points away from the domestic drivers. Heinemann had bad luck, since his oil pressure sunk rapidly - he still managed 4th in class. The over-2000 GT class was led initially by Leder, until he first lost his exhaust system and then he bent a valve - so Kiemele went by. The under-2000 win went yet again to Dören, who still was in the lead for the championship.
