500 cc
Piroli had pole, and a three-way lead was expected between him, Laganà and Capri, while Binati was a dark horse: in search of the overall title he was entered with a Lavazza car. He went ahead briefly, but settled for second eventually behind Capri while Piroli retired two laps before the end.

600 and 700 cc
“Yankee” made a return, clocked pole and set off with Galluzzo, followed by Carena. Then the first 600s romped by, “Tibeli” and Ciardi, then another 700 of Nocci. On lap 4, Galluzzo took the lead while "Yankee" retired later. Carena, in second, got clutch trouble and dropped back. which for its part has trouble with the clutch. Galluzzo won with ease, with Nocci second in class but third overall, behind 600 winner Ciardi; his main opponent “Tibeli" was troubled by his fuel pump.

850, 1000 and 1150 cc
Piacentini had the best start, but in lap 3 his gearbox failed. He could rejoin, his reward being the lastest lap. The race was led by a group of 128s of "Gilena" and Squillace, the Abarth of Binati and another of Nappi. Squillace took command on lap five and then "Gilena” broke his engine while Binati slowed down with a spark plug failure. Nevertheless his class win was safe since his opponents were too slow. able to easily win the class because the two Autobianchi Cerati Busso and did not represent a serious problem. So wins for Squillace and Binati, while 850 was won by Biselli.

1300 cc
Only ten cars at the start, Turizio tried to keep up with the BDA Escort of “Pal Joe” and the Alfa of Confortola. On the second lap, Turizio tried a pass but failed and it was the end of the race for him. "Pal Joe" and Confortola exchanged the lead, but late in the race the Escort went on top.

1600, 2000 cc and over 2000 cc
Finotto destroyed the right side of the Escort in practice, but his mechanics repaired the car in time for the race after he had practice in his former car, now sold to “Dino”. Of course, he had to start from the back of the grid.
Polesitter Ruoso was not as lucky, his car did not start at all, and was pushed away. This left the road free for Turizio, who headed “Alval" and Danieli. The 1600 class order was Nappi, Chiapparini, Colzani and Pasini. Already on lap 3, Finotto made contact with the first group, passing “Alval” and Turizio a few laps later. Nappi won 1600 with his 16-valve BMW, narrowly beating Chiapparini.
