Race 1
In the first race, Koch seemed to storm away from the combined field; but soon, Steinert with his powerful 16-valve Escort went past and disappeared into the distance. Behind them, Audi-men Tubbesing and Schultze-Oversohl had a fight, but the first one had to retire soon.

Race 2
The next classes were combined as well. Bergmeister could not qualify because of engine problems. Dahlhäuser had been fastest, but came away badly, and spun to add insult to injury. Wolf and Spiess had a terrific fight, which Wolf only just won. Behind them, Bischoff and Berk had a coming together. Henzler (BMW) won the 1600 class in front of Dahlhäuser.

Race 3
To the chagrin of the championship contenders, some powerful cars were entered, like 3 first-class Carrera’s and Grohs with his 24-valve coupé. Stenzel took the lead in front of Kelleners, but Grohs soon took over, enjoying the power of the BMW on the long straights. At the finish, it was Grohs, followed by five Carrera’s, then Cancian (BMW) and Odenthal (Capri).

Race 4
The last race was won by Basche in the golden Warsteiner BMW, in front of Schall (BMW) and Dören, who won the GT class.
