The last race of the season did not turn out a pretty one for Group 1.

Group 1 under 1300 cc
Tonny Zwaanenburg thought it would be a good idea to break just before the finish line and push the car over the line - such was his lead over the rest of the field. Race director Bosman was furious and made clear he better pass the finish line soon. Klaarmond, Lammers and Zwaanenburg refused technical inspection and were disqualified; Hutzezon, champion to be, could not refuse but his car was legal. Positive was the race of Cees van Dongen in the Datsun, who finished second behind Hutzezon.

Group 1 over 1300 cc
A fine duel between Slotemaker and Frankenhout was decided on the finish line; the rear of their cars was equal over the line, but since Rob’s Camaro was a bit longer his front must have passed the line fist... A great championship for the veteran.
The 2500 class lost third man Bosscher (disqualified because of illegal bump stops); Rosman won over Nijsten and claimed the championship because of his greater number of victories. The 1600 class was as bad as the 1300 class of the race before: Kanters was hired by van Oostrum to remove Houthuyzen from the track; but Kanters left so much room for van Oostrum after the start that the championship candidate spun and left the track. So the only way was a protest against Houthuyzen, who countered a protest against van Oostrum: would his car be illegal, van Oostrum would lose any championship points. Of course, the latter’s car was illegal, so Houthuyzen threw a party since his car withstood van Oostrum’s protest.
But race direction checked Houthuyzen’s car themselves and found other parts not legal. So Houthuyzen was thrown out as well, leaving Maassen the championship - with a car never checked for legality...

Group 2 and 4
Kluit had been fastest in practice, but his clutch failed soon after the start. Vermeulen took over and sailed to the championship. Tjan already secured the championship in the 1300 class (which was won by Coronel now), and the 1150 class was won by Loek Vermeulen, who had appealed against his license suspension - in vain, since the victory was taken away from him later. Now new boy van der Beek was champion. Kok sealed his championship with a second behind Antonides, whose car stayed in one piece for a change.
