Pictures

The small group 1 race had two surprises in store; neither Lammers nor van Dongen could win. Lammers was held up by an electrical problems, which cost him two laps to solve, and van Dongen could not keep up with Freek Hayes. By the way, the Rob Slotemaker’s Racing Team lost the “Team” designation, since Rob refused to pay an extra F 348,- including tax. But more important was the deserved victory of Bökenkamp.

The group 2/4 race was interesting. Akersloot was back, but supposed to have serious lack of stamina after his illness. But while third in practice, he took the lead in the race after a few laps and never looked back. Siewertsen was second, Vermeulen third after gearbox problems.
The 1300 class was won by Tjan in the Datsun, a new face was Hans Deen in yet another Datsun, a A120 coupé with fuel injection. The car was fast though it had to retire.
The 1150 class was won by Hettelder, his first win after many years, after a long fight with Geeris, while Vermeulen had to retire. The smallest class was won by Laqueuille, when both Kok and Antonides had to retire - after a great fight.

The big group 1 race had its fair share of excitement too; Slotemaker had a troubled practice and started from the back, while Frankenhout had the lead initially, followed by the fighting duo of Deen and Joosen - the Belgian driver finding his Waterloo in Panorama corner.
Slotemaker sliced to the field and closed on Frankenhout, finally slipstreaming past Frankenhout; the counter of Frankenhout was just not enough so the Camaro won. Deen won the next class, while the 15.000 guilder class was won by Kanters, until he refused a check for a LSD differential on the Alfa - so Kanters was disqualified and Rien Frankenhout finally took a win for Opel.
