On Saturday, the small group 2 field (this time divided in under- and over 1000 cc) had its race because of the full program on Sunday, with the F5000 race which was cancelled earlier in the year. A close fight developed between Antonides and Verzijlbergen (Datsun and Abarth) when Kok dropped back with engine problems. The Datsun seemed to have the upper hand, but Verzijlbergen appeared to aim at something. And he did: somewhere at the back of the track the blue Abarth overtook the Datsun, and with lights ablaze he stormed to the finish - only to see Antonides coming out of his slipstream and grab the victory for Datsun.

On Sunday, it was time for the big group 1 cars. A controversial race: Huub Vermeulen drove a Belgian Commodore once again, to help team-mate Fred Frankenhout. The first controversy was right after practice; Vermeulen had trained without numbers and was promoted to the back of the grid. But after paying a fine, he could start from pole, to the chagrin of Coronel, the prime victim. His start was controversial too: Hettinga, who had made a move on the outside of Tarzan was hit by him on lap 2 and went into the barriers - he could continue however. Since Fred Frankenhout was in the lead now, Vermeulen’s main task was to block Coronel, with he did with brute force - and when Coronel’s radiator was damaged the Alfa had to retire. It must be said that Coronel copied the driving style of Vermeulen quite well. Coronel as well as Alimpo (the BMW importer) protested, and long after the race Vermeulen was disqualified. By the way, Loek Vermeulen and Rien Frankenhout claimed the championship in the other classes.

The F5000 race was held in the rain and the track stayed wet for the next race, the big Group 2 class. A surprise entry was the ALIMPO BMW; the 1972 Slotemaker car was updated to CSL specifications, at least concerning suspension and wings. It was driven by Hezemans, who won easily - but the pack behind him made the race. Chiotakis had a bad start, and had to give way to Akersloot and Janssen. But after a magnificent fight, he passed Akersloot and Janssen, but the drying track made the outcome unsure - Janssen’s fastest lap of the race underlined that. Still, the finishing order was Hezemans-Chiotakis-Akersloot-Janssen. The two-litre class was won by Berg, the 1300 class was won by the NSU of Deen and the 1150 class was won by Daniëls, once again.

The last race had some excitement too: Zwaanenburg, Elmers and Jonker had a big fight, and on the straight Zwaanenburg was pushed to the right and was now heading for the pit street - on full speed! After a lot of steering and armco contact the car came to a standstill. The race was won overall by Lammers, fending off Frans de Vos.
