The first race on a circuit which was only halfway finished yet. Work had taken done until Saturday morning practice, but only half an hour later as planned the first practice could take place. The track did not include Panorama corner yet, but on other places the circuit was already improved considerably, like the widened Tarzan corner. The first race was held on saturday afternoon, and was led by Jan Lammers - the 16 year old protégée of Rob Slotemaker. The obviously talented boy won his first ever race in front of Frans de Vos and Aloys Mattijssen. The “Simca Rallye 1 class” was won by another anti-skid instructor, Tonny Zwaanenburg. |
