The race for Group 1 under 8500 guilders had yet another fight between the two Fiat 128’s and the escort Sport of Hugenholtz - who won. The other Group 1 race was, of course, dominated by the Dutch National Racing Team; since Rien Frankenhout was still ill, he was replaced by Huub Vermeulen in the Manta, while brother Jim despite a sore back drove the Commodore. A bad start meant that Coronel had an early lead, but thing went back to normal at the finish. |
