Another Opel-only race this year, with probably the best entry ever. Favourites were Conrero with a crossflow fuel-injected Commodore for Pianta, Steinmetz with new looks and Christmann at the wheel, and Irmscher who brought Willi Kauhsen. No group 1 race this year, the race being open to group 2 and group 4 cars.
Practice saw Christmann on pole, followed by Pianta and Brasta.

Pianta had to give up early in the race, leaving Brasta and Tuerlinx to challenge the Leading Christmann. But he was a class of his own and won with nearly a minute in hand over Brasta.

The excitement was delivered by the two GT's of Rosselli and Dolk, only decided by a broken gear lever of the Dolk car. Two-litre touring car honours went to Helmut Mander.
