Only Group 2 touring car races today; race 1 saw Kok finally behind the wheel of the Bevan Imp; but rival Dijkstra could not start after two engine failures in practice. Fastest in practice was van Oorschot, followed by Swart, van der Pol and Kok.
Van der Pol was fastest away, but in lap 2 Swart took the lead, followed by van Oorschot, van der Pol and Kok. Van Oorschot took over, and van der Pol now diced with Swart - but Swart retired in lap 4. Kok now passed van der Pol, while van Oorschot retired. Deen now headed the 1150 class and took the flag - and Kok saw van der Pol slipstreaming past to take overall and 1000 cc victory.

The big class still missed many entries. Although the Commodores would be ready (as was said last week) they were missing again, this time because of cylinder head troubles at Steinmetz. The ex-Glemser Capri for Dijkstra would only be available in August - so he said goodbye to the Capri.
The cars which were present took the start, though Engeman was too late with changing the plugs - she had to start from the pits, one lap in arrears, to the anger of team manager Oosterman. A pity, since she drove well, clearly faster than Akersloot (it handled like a truck, according to Akersloot) and nearly as fast as Chiotakis - who had finally managed to find sponsorship for him and team-mate van der Sluis. They both won their class, after Boshuis retired.

In the sportscar/prototype race Rob Janssen again raced an ex-works Rallye Datsun 240Z, adapted for circuit work. He was a DNF, practiced in 1.46,4 and fastest lap in the race was 1.47,5. The car would meet it’s touring car colleagues in 1973 eventually - with a rough time ahead of it. Overall victory was for Swart and his Chevron B19.
